Ian Wright notices change in Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane’s relationship

Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have developed their relationship on the pitch.

Both players have been on top form for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, with a combined total of 13 goals scored in all competitions between the pair.

There was a time whereby some pundits questioned their understanding and communication on the pitch, suggesting that Mane and Salah opted against passing to one other in their pursuit of individual awards.

One isolated incident which appeared to support this case was during Liverpool’s 3-0 win away to Burnley in August 2019, which saw Mane lose his cool over a decision Salah had made.

But Salah set up Mane’s opening goal for Liverpool in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City, and Wright is of the view that the prolific duo have a stronger connection compared to the past.

Liverpool sent Gini Wijnaldum transfer message ahead of January window

Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann believes his old club could do with signing a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman ended his five-year stay at Anfield earlier in the summer after the expiration of his contract, which he signed in 2016 after arriving from Newcastle.

Talk about a possible contract extension was on the cards for several months, but in the end Wijnaldum decided to call time on his spell at Liverpool and join Paris Saint-Germain.

And although Liverpool have enjoyed a fine start to the campaign, Hamman believes a replacement for Wijnaldum should be brought in during the January transfer window.
